Catalyst completed the privatisation (P2P) of Global Television (“GTV”) in January 2007. GTV is the leading provider of equipment and services to the Australian television production and broadcasting industry, with a particular emphasis on Outdoor Broadcast (“OB”) events. GTV is the largest operation of its kind in the Asia Pacific with eight studios, an engineering facility and training facilities in house. GTV provides studios, OB vans, other equipment and technical expertise to facilitate the production of television content.

GTV provides equipment and services to nine of the top ten OB events in
Australian Television, including the AFL, NRL, V8 Supercars, Cricket,
and Australian Idol. GTV has demonstrated its project management
capability through its execution and coverage of events such as the
2006 Commonwealth Games and the Sydney Olympics.
GTV is well positioned to meet the growing market demand for High Definition equipment and to benefit from global TV production outsourcing trends, driven by the increasing efficiency requirements of the major broadcasters.
